1992 SAAB 900 4 Door
I was recently involved in a low speed front end accident involving the Saab, while standing still preparing to turn, a 1995 Mazda protégé hit Saab on the front end passengers side taking out the grille work, the right side of the radiator, hood is bent were it slides into the left side catch, headlights, side marker's, headlight wiper motors, distributor cap, there are probably some other minor parts which need to be replaced, and you'll also find some parts which can be recycled. The upper cross member sustained some damage, and the welds on the rails connecting the front end clip to the rest of the car broke but because of the size and weight of the Mazda and the speed at which it was traveling when it hit the Saab I believe that the Saab acted as advertised by the manufacturer and absorbed the shock from the smaller lighter Mazda. the welds did not completely separate but they do show stress cracks. That is what I believe is the extent of the damage The good news is that this is the only time the Saab was ever hit, everything worked; the mechanical systems and electrical system worked fine, and the Saab has been driven 67,750 miles and the cars body was in near mint condition before the accident If you are familiar with the Saab options the car has all except leather int., power seats and cd player. The car is located in Cleveland, Ohio. The car will either be sold by me or be sold as salvage.
